"The Covenant Intervention and the Ship Invidious" (working title I came up with over a decade ago)... certainly the philosophy is changing....funny how the natural sciences often take a lead...from killing, collecting and categorising to withdrawing, reintroducing and supporting has been a long journey and of-course we've not achieved ahimsa* yet (another process that like "democratisation" is evolutionary not revolutionary),
*"Non-harmfulness (harmlessness). To not wish harm to any living creature — not even to any lifeless object. Ahimsa is about the intent, rather than the action itself. It is an attitude of universal benevolence.(1)" https://www.ananda.org/yogapedia/ahimsa/ A rather limp-wristed definition "re-mastered" for the west I suspect....as a gardener/horticulturalist I always try to avoid doing any harm..moving worms, relocating gastropods etc. (never trying to kill...more acting in partnership for the good of all...the "worst" I ever do is "dissuade"...un-skillful clumsiness can result in injury and death for small organisms so physical discipline is also part of ahimsa practice)
