There's likely to be Israeli government interference in the handling of this crime, of course. But this crime and the way the woman has been treated - by the men, the Cypriot police, the families of the accused, by the foreign office...could probably not have happened without disturbing attitudes in those people to rape, and disturbing ways of viewing women. |
