As you say, Brooks, as plausible as anything else. People can be forgiven for asking questions, running through hypotheses and speculating, due to the sheer volume of psychopathy and lies on display at the moment, coupled with untrustworthy media. Similar to the speculative thoughts of that Medium author (Joe Gambione) are the musings of a Twitter commentator (Phil Greaves). Greaves speculates: Previous Message extracted tweets: Iranian Armed Forces [said]: "..while changing direction, flight 752 completely resembled a hostile target approaching a sensitive IRGC centre." The only way a passenger plane can resemble a hostile target is if the plane's comms/UI have been sabotaged. Iran's Armed Forces statement regarding the cause of #UkrainianPlaneCrash, For the whole text check out this link; https://en.mehrnews.com/news/154401/Ukrainian-civil-airliner-downed-due-to-human-error https://twitter.com/saeede_khazaee/status/1215876476693774336 Another distinct possibility hinted at by the IRGC admission that the plane ' completely resembled' a hostile target on radar, is a repeat of what the US-israel did in Syria, using passenger planes as a shield for fighter jets or bombers, effectively using them as bait.** Yea, it's perfectly feasible the CIA/Pentagon were not involved in this case, it's called speculation at this point, but considering the rather large history of CIA/Pentagon foul play, one shouldn't preemptively exonerate them as suspects. The chronology of events almost mirrors the Syrian army mistakenly shooting down the Russian military jet, [did] certain actors... set a similar trap. At some point prior to firing, Iranian military &/or civil aviation authorities would've definitely tried to make contact with flight 752, the immediate question is whether there was any response once the plane changed course and apparently lost its unique identifier".
