Fuzzy logic there i.e. nobody wins. Unless of course you are talking about two sets of losers  . What I would find more interesting about the abstainers is the break-down by motivation e.g. abstaining due to apathy, sheers laziness etc. and finally those driven by idealism (with a touch of nihilism where appropriate). Pity statisticians are not interested in abstainers. It could be a gold-mine
