But it does have meaning - control, coercion, compliance, aggression, violence etc. And less severe cultural support issues like privilege, gender stereotyping. Of course, women can exhibit them too but they are certainly more associated with male behaviour towards women than the other way about. Male violence against women transcends wealth and status lines. It's not control but capitalism that's the redundant issue here. |
