Levy selling out? Not at all. He's just recognising reality. The two state 'solution', if it ever existed, has been dead for years. It's high time it was buried. It's always been an illusion, an excuse for political inertia. From an article I posted earlier: In an article laced with his usual contempt for them, Pipes argued against Israel annexing parts of the West Bank because that could one day make Palestinians eligible for the rights of citizenship. “Arab citizens constitute what I believe is the ultimate enemy of Israel’s status as a Jewish state,” Pipes declared. https://members5.boardhost.com/xxxxx/msg/1589032653.html Pipes and others would argue that annexation is a step too far, an act of hubris, a fatal mistake. Ending the possibility of a two state solution would lead to the end of Israel as an ethnonationalist state in the long term. With annexation - unless it is accompanied by Palestinian expulsion, a second nakba - the reality of apartheid, the bantuisation, would be even more stark. The pressure for an inclusive state would be inexorable. The 'international community' would have no more excuses, would no more be able to bullshit about 'a peace process and working for an end to occupation and a two state solution'. It would be the end of the Zionist dream of a enlarged exclusivist Jewish state. And a good thing too.
