Would be career suicide for a practicing medical professional to produce something like this. They could have got a layman to do it, but that would be less effective. Ironically it was a layman's 'analysis' of the original paper and patient histories that was used when Dr Wakefield was struck off from the BMA. The BMA was seemingly able to distance itself from any genuinely medical substance. As far as I could tell, there was not even a comment from them on the layman's lengthy quasi-medical analysis of the patient histories. The layman (Brian Deer) had pursued Wakefield with a vengeance. His role was extremely odd. From memory the full court details were put behind a paywall of something like Ģ150 to view.
