Chances of protecting vulnerable people are close to zero. Archived Message

Herd protection relies on persistence of immunity. Loss of immunity and coronavirus reinfection in individuals is the norm often within 1 year and even 6 months. If this is also the truth for SARS-Cov2 and this strain becomes endemic then everyone will have to eventually undergo a trial by ordeal each according to his or her own risk. Unless this real risk of persistence is acknowledged - to claim that this is a more scientific approach is risible. In fact the point is denied and Dr Gupta asserts that after 3 months the virus will be gone. South Korea has never had a lockdown. The argument presented here relies on a false dichotomy based on an unproven assumption.
