“willem” - one of the few who engaged with me - who was drummed off for holding different opinions. There's a terrible online game of victimhood: making out that that strong opposition to often ludicrous claims made in public forums means the poster is being "drummed off" "mobbed" or "bullied" when in fact they were merely opposed: the more ridiculous the claim the more predictably vocal the opposition, the bigger the claim that can be made to victimhood. There indeed have been repeated claims others have been thrown off this site when in fact they mostly took themselves off, or were at worse suspended for a week. I certainly opposed Willem alongside a number of others who repeatedly chose to disregard any actual evidence and repeatedly claimed Covid was no more harmful than the flu. He bounced the same social darwinist ball here repeatedly with no attempt to engage in any real debate preferring instead to indulging in the technique that mere "repetition will make it true". -In my view he propagandised rather than debated: I don't miss that.
