No, not on its own, sure - I guess it's about refining our understanding of the probabilities in lieu of that sort of more conclusive data (or something). The newer epidemiological data is worth considering regardless (and the rest in there too) - the 'body blow' language near the end of the article may have been overblown, but the data is suggestive at the very least - the lab-leak hypothesis also has to try and accommodate this data too. (I'd be gratified if you could post anything scientific that indicates that the lab leak is more likely)
