I often thought that Hawkwind's great, thobbing, musical juggernaut, sounded like music from another, possible, world. Now, of course it is, as times are so very different today. Roy Harper was in his own way a visionary too. One of the few people who wrote great, massive, epic songs about England, an occupied country in many ways. His last effort, Man and Myth contains some wonderful songs that embrace both history and Greek mythology. On a more carnal note. The lovely Stacia, who danced with Hawkwind, made swatting for my A-Levels decidedly less... stressful.
