Supposedly, it takes an awfully long time for 'tankers', the tank's crew, to learn how to opperate these complex modern tanks properly, let alone in a battlefield situation advancing over terraen, under enemy fire. As Ukraine has already lost hundreds of tanks, why should the Abrams and Leopards be any different? Will they, in reality, be manned by NATO soldiers familiar with them, and NATO teams supplying them with huge amounts of fuel, maintaining them in the field and repairing them when these highly complex machines break down because the 'Ukrainian' tankers don't really know how to use them? It's an escalation from the West's side. But how important is it really? A massive thrust towards Crimea is possible, but would it work? I wonder what the Russians will do in reply?
