"Will they, in reality, be manned by NATO soldiers familiar with them, and NATO teams supplying them with huge amounts of fuel, maintaining them in the field and repairing them when these highly complex machines break down because the 'Ukrainian' tankers don't really know how to use them?" -There's the rub. There doesn't seem any way of putting these into battle on anything like a full time basis without a large well trained repair maintenance and parts logistics operation in place. I mean, how long does it take a 19 year old Volodymyr to learn to repair an Abrams jet engine in a Ukrainian mud hole for f-sake? because that's what they run on. Ergo as you say, servicing and repairing these monsters can only be done by US troops constituting an entire mobile back up unit: some of whom will inevitably die leading to a US media frenzy and further escalation. Shoving 50 Abrams into Ukraine wont make much difference on the military front, but it will take us a step closer to Casus Belli in the World War 3 show. Maybe that the real plan?
