They're both part of the 57 varieties of Trotskyism. Socialist Action (US) is part of the United National Antiwar Conference. Ever heard of them? It's hard to keep up with Socialist Action because they seem to spend their time splitting, re-forming and splitting.
The WSWS support the overthrow of the Sandinista government in Nicaragua; and support the 'working class' struggle in Hong Kong?!? The WSWS produce some well written articles. But I don't think they actually do anything. Which is probably a good thing.
So what they've done is list all the individuals and groups they don't like and made criticisms of them. I expect most of what they've written is correct. But that's missing the point. The people throughout the globe getting blown to bits, crushed to death, incinerated by the US war machine and its proxies don't care whether the people fighting against the war machine in the west wear Boogaloo Boys T-shirts or wave hammer and sickle flags.
I hope the people with anti-imperialist principles get to lead this and any movement. In the process, hopefully, as many people as possible will become open to anti-imperialist views and get involved. The pseudo-left won't get involved. They will stay battling against each other, splitting, re-joining.... I'm sure they will enjoy themselves immensely. But they will be irrelevant to the working people and the working class.
The fact that people like Glenn Greenwald is on Carlson is great. People who normally won't be hearing these views will for the first be open to these views. It might get them thinking. Or, alternatively, we could spend our time only talking to people who agree with us. Perhaps, very satisfying, but it's not going to change the world.
