Well actually there is - we stop flying so much. All those calculations in the article are done on the basis of flying continuing at the present extent. In fact we have been increasing emissions even though planes are twice as efficient as they were 60 years ago. More efficiency doesn't necessarily reduce emissions - the Jevon's paradox. The world's population continues to rise too. First thing to do perhaps is tax aviation fuel, and add a carbon charge. This is Sabine Hossenfelder's take on this problem
Consdering hydrogen as a fuel, produces only water vapour, unfortunately water vapour in the stratosphere lingers a long time, and is a powerful greenhouse gas. I don't know how big that effect would be but there you go, just stop flying.
