It's actually a bit more of a decision in Wales as mark drakeford has been not too bad (as we say), making a few left-ish noises, generally being decent during the pandemic, and being some sort of remnant of corbynism-lite. The last political party broadcast I saw on telly didn't;t have him on as usual though, it was all starmer (filmed through tights) - if that's how they play it, that'll make the choice a lot easier. English labour would actually have to try and get my vote with some sort of 'retail' policies - I'm not voting for the pricks on spec (starmer gleefully got rid of all the spec) - at the moment they don't seem interested in socialists (except to imply we might be anti-semites), or poor people for that matter (not with Reeves and streeting strutting their stuff). Their main target seems to be centrists, patriots (in the gammon sense) and bigots - is this the Blair/triangulation method of the left having nowhere to go, or do they actually want a different set of voters, Brecht-style? - less embarrassing when they have meetings with bankers/healthcare executives/Israel embassy, and more suited to their exalted status. I'll possibly still vote against the tories, depending on my options. My MP is Plaid Cymru - I have voted for them before, but have gone off them since Adam Price - previous leader leanne wood was from the more socialist end of the party and talked about redistribution a fair bit, price is from the more nationalist end so not so much (I have a mate who went to uni with Dafydd Iwan, and he would tell me plaid was always an uneasy coalition between the socialists and nationalists). Also, Theresa may, but leanne wood (that's a joke of its time)
