OK, we know your opinion Keith. It's mighty unfair to say he didn't have the backbone, he was courageous over many years in the face of huge criticism in the Norther Ireland issue, support for Palestinians, anti-Racism, support for the poor and dispossessed, his simple life style etc. What he didn't have is the political nous, assertiveness, or the sheer nastiness and deviousness to be a leader of a political party and the "games' and backstabbing that one has to engage in. He just wasn't engaged in this process, similar to other high profile left wingers perhaps, like Michael Foot? Corbyn was a great hope, and don't forget he damn nearly won an election, if the press and media hadn't been so totally committed to his defeat and pulling out all the stops to put him down, he might well have won.
