I should clarify but in the German case they are exactly what the term suggets.
"they" means the populist/far-right parties that are getting more popular; the sentence was far from clear.
Also, dig into some of the groups that are in the shade of these parties and there are some very unpleasant mobs indeed lurking around.
It stands to reason really; remember all the coverage of the "neo-nazis" in the newly free (ex)East of the country? They didn't just disappear.
