Teams need bridge QBs. Unless you draft Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck, someone who's annointed a starting NFL QB role since they were in high school and keeps up with the hype while in college, your rookie QB won't be ready right away or ever.
I will commend Burrow, Hurts, and even Purdy for at least making the Super Bowl while on their rookie deals. That is still pretty impressive, even though the teams had the advantage of having a QB on a rookie deal.
I hope KOC has Darnold ready to play a full season no matter who we draft.
