Teejay if you suspect linetwist, wind all the line off that reel onto another spool.Use an empty reel or the Tica's spare spool for temporary storage.

Important...Check the reel's line roller is working 100%.
Drop that filled spool of suss nylon into a bucket of water and rewind that same line back onto the new reel and spool.

If you're sure the roller is hunkydory that should fix it if the nylon's ok.

If that doesn't work, 86 the nylon and load up with new stuff of another brand perhaps.

**As far as customising your Solaris is concerned, I wouldn't do that until you were convinced there was no line fault or reel fault.**

Here's what I next figure could be the culprit...

The spoolcentre distance from the blank and/or actual spoolrim to blank, depending on width/design, can also cause problems on fixedspool reels as the reelfoot to spoolcentre dimensions may be diferent between the various reel brands and indeed within the same manufacturer's model range, thereby making your gear incompatible with the stock standard "one size fits all"(?) Solaris rod..
Check for a change in the dimensions between your new Tica and your "old" reel.

I solved my linewhip issue by removing the "Stargate" on the Solaris and repositioned the second guide about 300-350mm back down the rod, as I believed the factory positioning was wrong for my gear..(I also did the same to my Tica rod as it was almost the same dimensions as the Solaris with guide spacings)
Both rods shoot good now with all my Emblems and Coronados.... esp the Coronados.. increased my distance heaps..! You can't hate that on a baitfeeder as they surely weren't designed as any sort of big distance reel.
    Hope that helps.
