Teejay, get someone else to cast your rod a few times to see if they crackoff as well. If it still is happening surely it must be the reel or reel/rod combination.
The next question would have to be how much line comes off the spool before you crackoff? Is it breaking at the leader, the knot or in the mainline?
Why did I shift the second guide...? Line would too often slap the blank with just the bottom guide removed... so I shifted the second one back down the blank in small increments and would testcast a tennis ball on the local footy field using temporary tapeup positioning until the line slapped no more. It may work for you too.
