To me, the chorus vocals on 25 o'Clock are the epitome of what Robert Christgau called the band's 'wimp-cool' vocal style (though I prefer 'nerd-tough'), for whatever that's worth.

But Vanishing Girl is still the peak of the Dukes project and one of the most perfect pop songs ever recorded, in my humble opinion.

...and it was written by Moulding, as were a disproportionately large amount of XTC's all-time classics (disproportionate given the ratio of material he contributed overall, that is).
