A - I haven't been able to get Krypto's food. There *may* be a couple of 6 lb. bags, over-priced, through a private seller on Amazon.
So, I tried looking through other 'good' foods. Most, I don't like the ingredients for dogs, and an equal number I'm allergic to. It's a problem. Especially with the possibility of having 2 dogs this week - more on that in a moment.
So, I am probably going to buy 6 lb. bags at the increased price, and hope that my usual bags are back in stock soon. Because it works well for him, and other dog foods have made him sick in the past, and because 6 lb. bags won't last 1 large GSD long, yeslet 2.
B - The dog that was supposed to come here is not here as yet.
We're trying not to become weary of the situation, as it's not the dogs fault, but we have more reservations each day. We keep hearing things that we didn't before.
Such as, she does spend a lot of her time outdoors, which we were told was the other dog, not her. I don't have a safe place for her to be out by herself for hours on end. She has to live indoors, and take walks/play when someone's outside with her.
Picking her up keeps being put off for various reasons. Now, I hear that a woman that we know, who knows the man and dog, takes a dog over, and when that dog jumps out of her car, the girl jumps into the car. That would have been good to know all along.
The plan is, for Ds to meet her there, let the girl dog jump into her car, and then she can put the collar/leash on her and drive her here by following Ds.
How much of this can go wrong? Pretty much everything. I am concerned that the dog, who doesn't wear a collar it seems, will not like that situation. Even my dog might bite someone if cornered and afraid, so what's to stop this dog from doing the same?
And then the same questions. Will she accept walking on the leash when it looks like she pretty much never has? Will she accept being in close confines with us, a strange dog, etc.? Will she accept cats?
So, any good thoughts for these 2 situations would be appreciated. The plan to get her is supposed to be for tomorrow. If it gets put off again, I think that Dh will give up. He was right with me originally on this, but he's got a lot of reservations now - all valid. Thank you in advance.
