"Where is that little runt, Puck?" Irzen looked around for the Fairy, "Our mission of mercy is over and the deed is done. It's high time we got back to being adults again."
After a long trek back up through the mine to the surface, the adventurers finally could see daylight. The forest canopy providing shade for the Swordsman to see better than in direct sunlight when a portal opened up and two very familiar figures came out.
"LADY! WE'RE BACK! Lady?" Quake started to announce herself when she stopped in her tracks, "What in the Realm? Why are you so little?"
"Quake!" Serna smiled, ran over to the Draconic Elemental and gave her a hug, "Where have you been? We missed you! How have you been? You look good!"
"Oh, hi, Serna!" Quake gave the girl a toothy grin.
"Hello, Quake!" Irzen smiled with a nod, "Welcome back!"
"Lazheros? Alyson and Irzen?" Came the voice of the platinum knight completely dumbfounded at the sight of three individuals who should be adults.
The Bronze Man let out a big sigh and was about to speak when the Trickster himself appeared in a flash of light.
"A promise is a promise as agreed upon." Puck hovered in front of the party giving Madeous a courtly nod, "As per your request your majesty. The three shall be one. From small to tall as if nothing happened at all! As for a certain dark elf chronicler, all things shall come full circle."
With a snap of his fingers, Lazheros, Alyson, and Irzen were now returned to their original status quo. Puck gave them all a sly grin and vanished.
"Yeah! You better run, you little runt!" Irzen snapped at the disappearing fairy, "And tell your boss to get bent too!"
"He's gone, Irzen." Alyson said walking over to her uncle, "Umm...so what brings you here, Uncle Madeous?"
"A need to travel for a change with family and friends. As for what I just witnessed, this never happened." Madeous gave his niece a wink.
The Bronze Man looked at the reflective part of his shield to see that he was his adult self again. Satisfied he turned to Serna, "Be careful on how you say your words around the Chronicler from now on. I do not wish to experience this again, nor do I want to leave with Alyson and depart for a long while."
Serna replied earnestly, "It's not my fault Puck zapped all of you and turned you into kids. War Scribe was the one who ticked him off. Where has she gotten to anyway?"
"Elsewhere, young one." Madeous walked over to Serna, "For now, the Chronicler is doing her job recording for Valinor. When the time comes, I am sure she will make her presence known."
Serna laughed, "Yeah, probably with a blood curdling scream like she always does. Ha! Ha! Ha!"
"The kingdom beyond the Great Veil was huge and fantastic to see, Lady. Lots of dragon kind there and I learned some new skills as it were but ah, I'll show you them later." Quake dipped her smooth polished head between the Bronze Man and Alyson.
"Where to now?" Lazheros pushed the elemental dragon's head to the side, "Where does the path lead to for you, swordsman?"
"To a doctor!" Irzen snapped as he looked down at his side where the crazed Gnome left its mark while trying to rip out one of his ribs, "That nutty Gnome all but gored me to death. A healing or two would be nice right about now."
