"Dungeon Master was here?" Quake blinked a couple of times, "So what did his shortness have to say?"
Irzen laughed.
"Hmm, do not be so crass sister. There always advice regarding trouble or victory regarding quest, yes." Mermidon added.
"Uh, we haven't heard anything from the lady, if that's what you're asking." Quake shrugged.
"Well, we need to wake everybody up!" Irzen smirked as he looked around, "This is a matter that concerns all of us. Now, which way to the bedrooms?"
Quake blinked and then shrugged to take the lead towards the guest rooms. She knocked on the door and Madeous's door opened.
The platinum knight rubbed his eyes with a questioning look, "What is it?"
"Apparently the swordsman has some urgent news for everyone, your Majesty." She thumbed behind her.
Irzen stepped forward, "Sorry to wake you, Madeous, but Dungeon Master dropped by to give us our new marching orders. It might be best if everyone was up to hear it. Wouldn't you agree?"
It was clearly obvious to Quake and Mermidon that the mere mention of Dungeon Master rubbed the platinum knight the wrong way. The last time he had to deal with Dungeon Master, it didn't end well for him. Advice not heeded from Lazheros was his own fault and put him in a sour mood. "Fine. Fine. I'll go wake Alyson. You can wake up Serna."
With a short walk to Alyson's room, the door opened and some words were exchanged quietly before it closed again. Madeous returned to his room and grabbed his gear.
Irzen strode towards Serna's room and knocked on the door, "Serna! Caliaphy! It's time to get up! Dungeon Master dropped by and has new marching orders for us. Be in the Great Hall in ten minutes. Okay?"
The kurori groggily opened her eyes and sat up, "Huh? We're leaving already?"
"We march to his fife, young ladies, so get up, get cleaned up and get ready to move." Irzen added before he made his way to The Great Hall.
Serna woke and yawned, "Good morning, Caliaphy. What's up? What's going on?"
"Guess we're leaving soon. Something about Dungeon Master," Caliaphy shrugged.
"Okay! I've slept long enough anyway." Serna stretched before she got out of bed and began to clean herself up.
Alyson and Lazheros walked out of their room and waited patiently for Madeous. The platinum knight came out and stretched. His expression still grumpy when the bronze man raised an eye brow, "Mmhmm. At some point, Madeous you will have to come to terms about what happened years ago."
He narrowed his eyes at him, "I did awhile ago but facing Venger again was something I was hoping to avoid especially with Alyson."
"Less chatter, more walking!" Irzen strode by the three of them on the way to The Great Hall.
"Yeah. Yeah. Maybe we should take a side trip to your home town, Irzen. All this lack of battle getting under your skin?" Alyson waved him off.
"I doubt we would survive the trip, Alyson," Irzen jokingly laughed, "You're too noisy! With all of your yapping, half the denizens of the Underdark would be upon us before we got within a mile of my home town."
The elementalist sighed, "Whatever. Irzen. It's hard to go anywhere with you when there's no battle or war happening."
"Enough." Madeous deadpanned as he walked between the swordsman and his niece, "What pray tell did Dungeon Master ask of us this time, Irzen?"
"I'll tell you when we are altogether in the throne room, Madeous." The Swordsman replied as he continued to walk towards the throne room, "I hate to repeat myself."
Serna and Caliaphy joined them in the hallway though both of them appeared to be wiping the sleep from their eyes.
"Ladies, I'm glad you could join us," Irzen beamed from ear to ear as the group pressed onward to the throne room, "How did you two sleep?"
"Like the dead." Serna deadpanned.
Caliaphy fluttered over to the floor and stretched, "What she said."
Madeous grumbled as he ushered everyone down to the throne room. It was quiet with only the guards at their post. He stepped forward and informed the guard that they needed to talk with both the prince and princess.
One of the guards nodded their head, departed the room and then returned with a very spry Prince Birch and a very serene Princess Cauladra.
"Good morningtide to you all," Princess Cauladra began to say before she was promptly cut off.
"GREETINGS ALL!" Prince Birch opened his arms wide with a flourish and sang merrily, "O' WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING! O' WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY! How is everyone this fine day of days?!"
