"GREETINGS ALL!" Prince Birch opened his arms wide with a flourish and sang merrily, "O' WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING! O' WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY! How is everyone this fine day of days?!"
Alyson winched at Prince Birch's good morning wake up call.
Lazheros braced himself.
Madeous cleared his throat, "Yes, well it would seem that we will be parting ways."
Caliaphy clasped her ears suddenly from the prince's out burst greeting.
"REALLY?! SO SOON?!" Prince Birch was completely aghast, "But you just got here! Pray tell why?"
"Dungeon Master," Irzen replied simply.
"Oh!" The Prince nodded.
"And pray tell where shall you be travelling?" Princess Cauladra asked the Swordsman.
"Well, that's why I've gathered all of you here," Irzen announced to everyone before he began to perfectly mimic Dungeon Master's voice, "The Force of Evil has a spy here within the city. An envoy claiming to be someone they are not. Find this spy and gain the favor a legendary king."
"My father?" The Prince asked no one in particular.
"King Sunrider is a legendary king to his own people, Swordsman. The one I speak of," Irzen continued to perfectly mimic Dungeon Master's voice, "has traveled the Realm extensively and has had more encounters with Venger than even you in your long life time."
"And then he disappeared." The Swordsman concluded, "Well, what do you think? Can I do a good impersonation of DM or what?"
Quake shrugged, "Not bad but I won't do it too much."
"Why not?" Irzen replied, "It's not like DM is around to critique me on my performance."
Alyson sighed, "It's bad enough that you have to mimic Yoda from Star Wars. Try and hold off on imitating Dungeon Master."
"Why so SERIOUS?!," Irzen replied in a perfect mimic of Heath Ledger's Joker, "Let's put a smile on that face!"
"There are many legendary kings, Irzen," Lazheros added thoughtfully, "and to be honest I'm not sure the one Dungeon Master was referring to is King Sunrider. Still, it would be helpful to know exactly who we are looking for."
"I agree!" The Swordsman admitted.
"Maybe it has something to with Stormhaven? It's been awhile since we've been there." Alyson added.
"But Stormhaven is a barony not a kingdom," Serna spoke up for the first time, "And as much as Baroness Meleranti's father, Baron Modnar of Rebma, was beloved by our people and considered to this day to be one of Stormhaven's legendary leaders--he was no king, just a baron."
"Madeous, Quake, Mermidon, what do you guys think?" Irzen asked them.
"So, we venture down a road less traveled and sees where it takes us. I for one would like to see a different part of the Realm. This world is massive, why not explore elsewhere." The elementalist suggested.
"There is supposed to be a chain of floating islands to the north high in the sky where it is said a king reigns there." Lazheros added.
Quake chimed in, "Up-in-the-sky? Why does everything have to be up in the sky? Look as long as there's solid ground to stand on, I suppose I'll manage."
"You know what this means, don't you?" Irzen smiled at Lazheros with a mischievous grin, "DRAGON RIDE!"
"That sounds neat!" Serna chimed in with a grin.
Lazheros shook his head, "Captain Lion is leaving East Port very soon and the floating islands that I spoke of are on the way back across the Fire Sea just to north a bit. I'm sure he would be able to take us at least part of the way and part ways."
"What's the matter, O Great Bronze Dragon?" Irzen smirked, "You're not up for giving all of us a dragon ride? Why not? All of us can't weigh that much and you'll be in full dragon form. Unless, of course, you're afraid your wings are going to get tired or something?"
