Supply/demand, available discretionary spending are the #1 & #2 factors that drive inflation in markets.
Remove all that federal payout in wages, payments, assistance. IDK how much it would be. I'd imagine it's multiple trillions of dollars.
At the same time drive up health care costs for those that remain employed.
Grocery prices would come down. As would wages across the board, housing costs.
A recession/ depression.
I don't think even Elon, Trump and The rest are stupid enough to remove that much in wages from the economy.
Yet? Trump has repeatedly stated/ intimated. The Gilded age as that "MAGA" model he's aiming for.
I can't pretend to know his intent. I only know his words.
Lol- let's hope food isn't drastically cheaper next year around this time. It would signal- the masses are in big big trouble
