The same time I’m hopeful. Went to the store yesterday and ran into a few people I know. Got a hug , was shown a pic of a baby from one of kids friend. Conversed with a bell ringer I didn’t know and visited with my fav check out lady. My wife hates going into the store with me because I’m social. Lol Even saw a guy I hadn’t seen in a long while. Even though it’s a small tight community ; there is some political division. I almost stepped down from an officer position on the KC after the election. I knew some of our members were supporters of Trump and felt it was hypocritical to be part of it. But I loooked at the big picture and we helped so many people since taking it over. We raised 2000 lbs of food for Cans for lent, $1500 for a camp for special needs kids, provided dozen Thanksgiving baskets for the unfortunate single moms and helped out the schools playground together. We just did pancake breakfast with Santa and raised another $1000 . My wife and i were coming home from a trip and notice a truck with its 4 ways on and splatter deer in the road. I stopped to see if they needed help and the guy was fine and truck was still operational. He was wearing a Trump hat. I’m still disappointed in most of our country, but good people get mislead my the whatever news source they watch. I stopped watching the news after the election and just focus on good things. I’m slowly getting back to checking the news and from what I’m reading; maga GOP and the shadow prez Musk look like they might implode. Lot of watchdogs are still fighting . Hell , 38 Republican members voted against a bill. If things don’t change, I’ll be on a lot next to you or an Island across the bay. I have 18 months til SS and my wife retires. See what the state of the union is then and make a decision. If Big Gretch decides to run; I might get involved in the campaign. As I write this ; snow is falling, dogs lying on the couch next to me and my daughter is playing Christmas music on the piano. I am blessed! Skol Vikes and ground the Hawks. ✌️
