On Tomlin: I guess 20 years straight of .500 or above is a thing. But so is 9 straight years of losing your 1 & only playoff game.
The opposite of that is denver. Longest streak of a superbowl winner to miss the playoffs. 9 years from Peyton mannings trophy season in Denver to the Bo Nix season just witnessed.

Still, theres worse fates than that. Cleveland comes to mind. Atl too. San Diego.

Its been long debated around here. Would we rather be the jets? 1 superbowl trophy followed by endless futility.
Or the vikings. The winningest franchise without a superbowl win in the entire NFL.

The confetti fades fast. Look at seattle. Look at the Jets & Bears. Most of their fan base doesnt remember the day the confetti flew. What they do remember is a shit ton of ruined sundays. I think it breeds indifference. The enemy of ownership.

Which is better? When youre cleveland? A 20 yr run with 14 playoff appearances that go 1 & done sounds really good about now.
When youre pittsburgh, the very same record is extremely dissapointing standing alongside your 5 superbowl trophies.

I think- we as viking fans, we are cleveland- with our hopes fulfilled.
