Why has it taken 3 full seasons to identify that the o-line is a huge problem?
Since KOC's arrival. The vikings cant block on 3rd down pass situations. Nor can they consistently run the ball.
The 1st year choice at dc brought a defense that couldnt stop anything. Really. The 2 bright spots under koc are brian Flores and JJ striking fear in opponents. Maybe a 3rd bright spot is during the regular game schedule. The team seems to play hard. Yet. In playoff scenarios. They seem to dial up fed-ex & mail in the effort. I thought/hoped they had turned the corner on this last aspect. But the ending 2 weeks showed us. A great effort- see detroit home game- packer home game. Cant be followed with another all out effort.
In the playoffs- those great effort moments. Need to be followed by an even better effort as the competition increases.

How many years does he get a pass on becoming a HC that delivers in the biggest moments?

Koc isnt neccesarily a bad hc. It appears to me. Hes competent. I guess, competent is a good thing. Yet. All thise hc's listed. They too showed competence- until they didnt. Until the inmates wrestled control and exposed said hc as just another guy, human, flawed and nothing special.

Is koc doing more with less? If so, does it show across all aspects? I still believe his end of half coaching needs improvement as does his in game adjustments. Not to mention the o-line thing.

Hes gotten his extension. Good for him. I have a hunch he doesnt finish the contract employed in minnesota. I just see too many signs that his warts will remain until the inmates revolt. Once he looses the lockeroom. The replacement clock starts ticking.

I think koc received new ink for 1 reason. JJ McCarthy. If McCarthy plays poorly in '25? The Wilfs will start eye ballin' the purple Rolex.

Theres a handful of 3rd contract free agent o-linemen hitting the market in '25. He better twist kwesi's arm and together, patch up something special. I dont see JJ Mac going off on a Bo Nix tour w/o something special in front of him keeping him upright.

A slight change of direction here- Jordan Addison was rumored to have one foot out the door this past early season. How that shakes out this coming season might be an indicator of KOC's actual value.
