What i find with the people having the idea we all have smart phones, i get links sent to my ancient mobile from the Dentist, Doctors and hospitals. None of which i can open.
For most shopping and bills, i use direct debits as my bank awards me a percentage of the charge back to me. On food shopping, if i use a card, i also get 1 percent back which is credited to my account each month. Cash is not to popular but if i want to donate to local charities shaking a can, i like cash for that.
Many charities now like to sell a lottery type ticket now and no cash tin. Of course, i do not do gambling so they get no money.
I am happy dropping cash into poppy, blind, Cystic fibrosis, Hospice and British Legion tins and a good way to donate is 10 percent of an ebay sale which i do and a few charities get some money each Month without me doing anything except selling my old bits.
Today at Tesco, withdrawing 100 pounds, it is paying out 50 pound notes which have to be checked by a supervisor in stores. Thats a bit crap.
