Pity it didn't blow the whole rotten edifice well north of the Shetlands ! That at least would have provided a blank canvas to start again to build back better.

Most British seaside resorts are bit past their best these days, but Blackpool is really not a pleasant place & recently determined to have the lowest life expectancy in the UK due to the levels of depravation there. A place best avoided IMO.
