Southgate hidden VIN?

Hi All,

Has anyone every had a Southgate built car that did not have a hidden firewall VIN stamp? I pulled the evaporator box today on my '68 expecting to see a VIN stamped in the usual spot and much to my surprise...nothing. Looked all over the panel and nothing.
