...unless Telmex have improved their backhaul bandwidth into the community, which I understand has not happened and is not likely to happen anytime soon, your fibra optica will be little different than DSL on a good day. Whether it's TelMex DSL, Telcel, or someone else, everyone is
running off the same Telmex fiber optic 'big pipe' into the community, and unfortunately it's not very big... that's the limiting factor.

Starlink is the only way to go so long as you have a fairly decent view of the northern sky, and that's becoming less important as the Starlink sat constellation increases. Folks, I just got 150 mbps down and 15 up, sometimes I get well over 200 mbps... and an for acceptable price point of $1100 pesos a month. This for no limit data, yes there really is no limit ... so what's not to like? I even modified my Starlink and router to run off solar 12V 24/7... very easy to do.

I'm just over the hill from LM so your experience should be the same as mine.
