I was trying to explain to my mom the HUUUUGE difference between parcopresis and constipation, and all the many other ways in which parcopresis is terrible, and she told me that I'll probably outgrow it someday. I quickly corrected her; parcopresis is unfortunately something that doesn't seem grow-outable, judging from all the sufferers of parcopresis and paruresis who are well into adulthoood. And this brings me to my question:
How are we ACTUALLY going to overcome these horrible, horrible disorders? I'm trying graduated exposure therapy for peeing, but it's almost impossible with pooping. And believe me (and I'm sure you all feel the same), I don't want to learn simply how to "deal with it," I want to be over it!
So, what are your own plans and techniques to get over parcopresis/paruresis?
