Fingers crossed for the weekend. It is shaping up like an ideal weekend for a trip south of the Cape. I fished between the weed clumps at Ocean Beach last field weekend and hit a couple of decent kahawi landing one. Theyll be there but will there be anything else?
Stories from our southern boundry are tempting with gurnard over a kilo being caught on the rods at Herbertville in the last month. Porangahau hasnt been fished so who knows what may be there.
A school visit from Taihape to PourerereBeach left the moki population in a daze after some serious skin diving in near shore holes. Might be worth a visit.
