Hey Dodd thanks for that. You have planted a seed in my minds. I have a left hand Penn Jigmaster and I spooled it with DuPont kevlar braid, many, many years back before braid was sold in NZ. Many a burnt thumb and birds nest resulted because the reel had a heavy steel "deepwater fishing" spool. I later bought a plastic and an alloy casting spool and found these easier to use with mono.But I have to tighten the spool a lot which cuts distance, I cant cast these reels very well, need heaps of practice!!! Will look at the mag kit, thanks again Cheers  |
