Most pendo sites say learn the OTG first. The pendo is actually when you work it out a slightly altered OTG. But you keep the sinker of the ground and in the air. You can do low ones or high ones and the longer you make the arc, the greater the power up on the rod. It is still a cast where the sinker loads up the rod prior to chucking the sinkers, ooops I mean propelling.
I actually think the term pendulem is not quite right. If I had to rename it, I would call it the arc cast or 180 degree or half circle. It is not a lassoo type thing.
It starts with the pendulem motion, but when the sinker is parallel with the beach and rod tip, then it actually scribes a backward arc or half circle. And the power on comes when the sinker is actually motionless. And then it all starts to happen.
Well that my take on it then. Hard to see it on utube videos as it is quite fast but then slow and controlled. There are a few of guys using tennis ball and u can see a little better. Its a controlled slow action but timing must be perfect.
I am getting the hang of it. But certainly havent mastered it yet. I am a pendo apprentice.
