hi lads just on visiting your sight,i am a tournament caster, was looking at your videos etc on you tube, and i see some lads starting to pendulum cast,,and some lads with fixed spool reels, hopefully to great effect, there are plenty of videos on you tube showing distance casting, and the different styles,,x-casts,,back casting ,and tournament pendulum casts,,if your looking for really long casts, then i recommend multiplier reels, sometimes difficult to control, but with practise, and a good casting techneque you go along way//up here we use modified reels, they allow for releasing the magnetic control during the flight of lead,,and require alot of control, but to start with when i am out practising ,i always cast with the brakes on,and as my casting gets better i then start to release the brakes, the more confidence you get with your rod/reel the better youll become,, if i can help, give any pointers to anyone please just ask,,hope to see some serious big hitters soon,,,but to round everything off,,remember, you control the lead, the rod,the reel,,it doesnt control you,,look forward to hearing from you,s good luck look up,aim high, they go further chris
