    Hi Trev.
    That is a good spot. I didn't realise it was so sheltered from the north, but its obvious if you think about it I suppose. The beach is fairly exposed to the westerlies, so night fishing would be the go.

    What time of the year did you catch your elephants, as I am quite keen to add one of those to my list.

    The snaps turn up late October and the fishing is usually quite good up till xmas, then they normally go quiet until February. Thats how its been over the last four years for me anyway. I have had some of my best catches when the wind swings to the north,as the front moves in.

    I've been out a couple of times lately for a large, but skinny kahawai, and a green eye.
