    Hi All

15 casts, 15 perfect releases. No inflight seperation whatsoever. Even caught a reasonable Kahawai on it. I estimate I was casting 20 metres, maybe even more, than my other rod that was equipped with the Impact Shield. So the modified Imp wins hands down.

And the beauty of this system means that the load is shared between the Imp clip trace(with Hook) and the mainline that is attached to the sinker eye. Yep no more stressed Imp Clips. And the slight hook modification means that the bait is able to reverse in flight and hug the mainline, whilst sheltering in the slip stream caused by the sinker.

Same principle as the Breakaway Impact Shield Sinker, and the other version they put out.(With the spring clip). I see no reason why it will not work with a two hook, (Keeper Hook System) just clip down the main hook.

I trialed this in a headwind, with a 4/0 hook baited with a liberal piece of squid (All I had). With an aero dynamic James ex USA Float. And it really did fly.

    Tools to make.

One pair of long nosed pliers.
Small pair of scissors or a cutting blade.

    Ingredients.
    One Long Tailed Sinker
    One Imp Clip
    One size 6 Barrel Swivel
    One Size 4 Split Ring.
One small length of lumo tubing.
Some soft wire or just use mono and a good tight knot.

    One conventional Pulley Rig.

Time to make sinker modification, appro 5 minutes or less. 10 if you have fumbly fingers.

Instructions and pics tomorrow. Unless ya can work out how it all goes together by yourself

    Cheers Hardy aka Trev
