    Hi All

Geno its that bloody GGW, got up this morning and found I had thrown all my toys outa my cot. Damm I hate it when that happens..

    So back to Planet Earth.

Right prey open the eye on the sinker shaft. Slide swivel onto it. Close eye. Attach the Imp to the swivel. If you are using a swivel with a large eye, just give it a squeeze with pliers. This is the eye that is on the Sinker shaft. A size 6 will not need squeezing.

Cut a length of lumo tube that will run from the swivel to the bottom of the sinker eye. Slit up the middle and place on sinker shaft. I used garden twisty wire top and bottom, to ensure lumo tube stays in place. Thats it done and dusted with the sinker.

Take the Split ring Size 4 and put it in the eye of your hook. Its the split ring that goes into the Imp and gives you a good clean release on impact. But I have no doubt a surgeons loops would work just as well.

Now you can see why you can use a large bait, as large as you like.

Attach Pulley rig to sinker eye in the usual manner. Bring down baited hook and slide the split ring into the Imp.

And thats it. Simple really. As the Imp is on the swivel you just turn it the right way when attaching the hook. The benefit of this rig is that the casting strain is shared between the mainline which is clipped to the sinker and the Imp on the swivel. The mainline carrying the greater line strain.

Out today with both rods, and Imps for each. Once again great distance and no seperation in flight. 100 per cent releases on impact.

The extra distance is achieved by the fact your bait is right down by the sinker. Whereas with the Impact Shield it is above it.

    The Pics.
