I'm thinking that Glasgow isn't the answer. Went to this "interview" in Glasgow and I realised how small the industry is here. It's a handful of elderly women who do written shorthand and are looking forward to the imminent demise of the industry. It's surely the same in Glasgow.

So I might be the only person in Scotland using a machine. That's weird. And the other nine people doing this job are elderly women.

The job still exists in the US. Possibly Canada. I'd like to do it in Hong Kong or Singapore but I don't think it's happening. And it's going away everywhere, of course. The same can be said for all jobs, though.

I don't know. Maybe I'll be really surprised when I actually do the job. But I think...should be looking for work in the US now.
