I've heard the expression 'Cheeky Nandos with the lads' being bandied about occasionaly over the last couple of years, mainly from people mocking those who apparently say it. Although if anyone does say it, i've certainly never heard them. Perhaps because Darlington didn't have a Nandos. Until now.
I've had a quick look at the menu, and the prices are f*cking extortionate. The cheapest burger and side is £9.20. Compared to like £3.50 from one of the local, independent pizzerias / kebab shops. But I still want to try it anyway.
As ever, i'll be going on my own, and I don't even care. A table for one and alcohol for ten should ensure any feelings of loneliness and tragedy are comfortably drowned.
In other news:
My brother didn't go to prison after all. 'Got off' with 150 hours community service, a fine and a 12 month rehabilitation order. So that was nice.
Granted, within hours of walking out of court he was once again getting up to all sorts of mischief - but as he sees it, needs must.
