South Wales had a Nandos about eight years back...

I think there's been one in Middlesbrough for a while, which is only 10 minutes up the road from Darlington, and forms part of the Tees Valley region. But i've never wanted to go so badly that i'd bother getting on a train just for that.

Yeah, that seems to be it. Almost like you're sneaking it in when you really should be doing something else. And apparently it only qualifies if you do it with 'the lads' (which just means 'young or youngish males' where I live, but has different, less neutral connotations elsewhere).

Still, should be a lot of fun. And you're never truly on your own with a smart phone and Twitter anyway, are you?
