I have been trading as an independant auto electrician for 23 years, my reputation speaks for it self. I have had one referal to trading standards where I gave an obnoxious woman a full refund ( when I did a basil after the parts she supplied me failed). I have been approached by several organisations to buy into their "logo" schemes and Have not felt the need to do so.
I have considered setting up the Independant auto electricians League , whereby I could extract a fee by direct debit and produce a logo in microsoft paint and collect fees whilst lying on a beach on Koh Samui.
On the more serious side there are too many people in suits trying to extract as much as they can from the few people in this country that actually produce any work --be it advertisers or people who sell us overpriced tools or inadequate diagnostic equipment.
Trading standards are already there to police rogue traders all that is needed is the will to prosecute where necessary--no genuine trader wants his mug shot in the local paper
thats all folks--- I pass the mike
