Just been to local mot seminar,and i think the question everyone wanted to ask ,was left to the end of the evening.What shocked me was the fact that vosa dont seem to upset with this new idea, They seem more interested in roadside policing as there future,First part of the evening was a video about roadside vosa work stoping lorries ect,i thought what are they showing this for,nowt to do withus ,as evening progresed it dawned that they were softening us up for the bad news ,that they would rather be going this direction than a once a year inspection for all with all its policeing duties to attend on the mot stations. Apparently unsafe vehicles only acount for 2% of serious road accidents,not value for money for the motorist !!!!. Other signs of scale back are stations will not get a site visit for 3 years if you are a Green light station,ie low risk.and will be contacted once a year by phone. I truly think They have made there minds up,Joe public arnt going to complain that they want a annual test. But i could be wrong. Aparently it all goes up for referal in april.GEORGE
