My business insurance is up for renewal.I have been paying for the cover of vehicles left on the premesis against theft,damage etc.It adds a lot to my policy and over the years have spent a lot of money on this item.I know others in my araea who only take out road risk cover and they have saved loads of money in comparison.I asked my broker and he said it was my responsiblilty to cover the vehicles whilst in my possesion but i am not legally obliged to cover them.I mentioned to him that these vehicles are already insured(i presume) by the owners and why are we insuring them twice!!Even if the car isnt insured by the owner it isnt my concern.Is this all to do with Duty of care??Are the insurance companies just making money for nothing??
