I've just walked out of Halfords today after waiting 10 minutes to buy a head unit as I had a panic job in and had run out of stock, only to be told that all the staff were busy fitting stereos and thus no one was available to serve me.
Anyway, whilst I was standing there getting frustrated, I noticed an advertisement reminding customers that they could have their in car entertainment fitted by IMI qualified technicians in store. Red rag to a bull time. Now, my brother works for Halfords, fitting stereos etc and he doesn't have a qualification to his name, let alown being a member of the Institute of Motor Industry! Having spoken to him on quite a few occasions about this, I get the impression that very few of their staff are!
I would have thought that if you advertise the fact that your staff are qualified, they should actually be so! Is that not a case of misrepresentation?
