Hi all this is a good one,
Customer brings car in for MOT and it fails on emissions she asks me "what can be wrong".i tell her to book it in for a hours diagnostic session at £36 plus vat. She goes away for a week then comes back and asks for another emissions test as another garage have read the codes and replaced the front O2 sensor. It obviously fails the test and she gives in and books it in with me. For starters the code I get is for the rear sensor not front, but it's down to cat efficiency and i noticed oil in water so put my head gasket tester on and gasket has failed.
They seem to enjoy wasting money, but then there quick to say I,m expensive.
